Haptic devices provide force feedback to the subject that interacts within virtual environments, transferring a sense of presence to the user. There are VR gloves with built-in haptic systems that provide feedback to the user when they pick up virtual 3D objects. An example of the use of these devices is found in medical surgery simulators.
